“Anaheim officials won’t consider a development agreement for the Angel Stadium property until September, but the city will get some of the deposit money due on the stadium’s sale earlier than previously planned, under recent changes to the deal’s timeline.
The City Council on Tuesday, May 12, approved the changes, which push back the development agreement’s June 30 due date to Sept. 30, and also move up when a site plan and an accompanying $10 million deposit would be submitted.
…Adjusting the schedule will allow the council to consider several related agreements at one time and makes it more likely residents will be able to share their views in person at council meetings that will likely be open again to the community later on.
..The $10 million deposit due with the site plan “is money I have no doubt we’re going to need” as the city deals with revenue losses from business shutdowns during the pandemic, Mayor Harry Sidhu said.”
